Licensed Technician / Apprentice (Truck/Coach, Diesel Engine)
Description:
Reporting to the Service Manager, the Technician/Apprentice is responsible for customer service related work in the Truck Shop, Transmission/Engine Rebuild Shops, Road Service and Production Departments. In addition, the Licensed Technician is expected to meet customer and internal requirements for repair and overhaul of engines/transmissions.


Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and diagnose customer complaints
Preparing, cleaning teardown and pre-inspection of units prior to performing repair or maintenance work
Providing overhaul/work on units as per service manual guidelines as provided
Inspecting of part subassemblies reused and new for conformance to specifications
Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:
Truck/Coach License or currently enrolled in a similar apprenticeship program
Experience with Detroit Diesel engines and/or Allison Transmissions an asset
Must be flexible in hours for swing shift work
